 A SUMMARY STATEMENT OF OUR CORE BELIEFS

THE BIBLE:  The Bible is God’s Word to us.  It's God's perfect, timeless guidebook for living.  

GOD:  God is bigger, better and closer than we can imagine.  He is the one and only Creator of the universe eternally existing as three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. 

HUMANITY:  Every person is created in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character.  Although human beings have tremendous potential for good, they are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called "sin".  This attitude separates everyone from God and causes problems in life. 

JESUS CHRIST:  Jesus Christ is God showing Himself to us.  As Savior, He offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for our sins by dying on a cross.  He then rose from the dead after three days to beat the power of sin and death forever.  Soon afterwards, He ascended into heaven and will return again someday to earth to rule as King and Lord.

SALVATION:   Salvation is God's gift to us but we must accept it.  We can never make up for our sins by self-improvement or good works.  By trusting in Jesus Christ alone to be the Savior and Leader of our lives, God makes us spiritually alive and we are now Christians.       

THE HOLY SPIRIT:  The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God.  Through the Holy Spirit, God lives in and through Christians.  He also gives each Christian one or more spiritual gifts to be used in serving others.    

THE CHURCH:  Christians make up the church around the world.  A local church exists to honor God, and share the life-changing message of His love and the good news of Jesus Christ with everyone - leaving the results to God.   

FAITH AND PRACTICE:  Our main purpose as Christians is to love God and love people.  Fulfilling that purpose happens by living life the way Jesus Christ intended and passing it on to others.  

ETERNITY:  After this present life, we will enter into another life. We will either exist eternally separated from God or eternally with God in heaven.
