Kids at Upcounty Church will have a place to call their own on Sunday mornings.

The Children's Ministry on Sunday mornings will be a place of wonder and discovery as children learn the stories and truths of the Bible.  Our goal for each weekend service is to create an environment that would both be educational and entertaining.  We have adopted the term "edutainment" as our theme. We want to capture your child's imagination, intrigue them and set them on a course of discovery.

Our Bible studies, games, worship times and activities will be designed to demonstrate biblical truths in a fun, energetic and easy-to-understand formats. These truths can then be reinforced and built upon throughout the week using our parent letters and family activities to facilitate spiritual conversation in the home. Using these tools, we hope to lay a firm foundation of biblical truths that can be built upon as a child grows.

Where is the Upcounty Kids Ministry at Rocky Hill Middle School?

Every Sunday at 11:00 am, the Upcounty Kids Ministry will take place in Room 140 which is a large, multi-purpose room at the school.  We have Nursery Care - plus three class sections for children by age group (Preschool, Elementary I and Elementary II).  The classroom area is easily accessible yet it's a safe, secure and fun environment.  

Once you enter the school, look for the Kids Connection Check-in signs and table near the main lobby.  One of our Upcounty Kids Greeters will greet you and check in your children for the morning program which finishes at about 12:15 pm.  You're welcome to drop your kids off and enter the main worship service, or stay with them for a while once the kids program begins.  

Our volunteers will have been carefully screened, and are committed to the safety and positive experience of your child.  Our Upcounty Kids Team is here to serve you and your family!

Sunday Programs 

The Children’s Ministry on Sunday morning will be a large group gathering with music, fun activities and a Bible teaching. 

We are also have a small group breakout time for interaction about the lesson and crafts - by age or grade.  It's led by the Upcounty Kids Team.  Sunday morning is a great time for kids to experience God's love for them. 

Newborn to 5th Grade

Our children's programs will be as diverse as the children we serve.

We will design programs on Sunday mornings for newborns through fifth grade. We have have a separate Nursery area for newborns to toddlers and a experienced Nursery workers too. Our Sunday program for older children (Pre-K - 5th Grade) runs the same time as the main worship service.  Our Sunday programs are designed with each individual child in mind. Each child will be taught in an age-appropriate environment.  

From newborn to fifth grade, our desire is to see each child be cared for in an individual way and in a safe caring, learning environment with experienced adults.  

For Parents

We want to be a resource for you as you raise your children.  For instance, we want to help you as parents engage in meaningful spiritual conversations with your children.  In the future, part of this page will be dedicated to providing you with tools and resources for that purpose.

Upcounty Kids Ministry Policies

Each one of our Teachers, Assistants and Upcounty Kids Volunteers has been through an orientation and screening process before volunteering.  

From loving care in the Nursery to our Elementary classes, your child will be cared for in a safe, loving and encouraging environment.

If you would like to explore volunteering in the Upcounty Kids Ministry, please let us know.  

All of our volunteers who volunteer with the ministry are required to complete a Volunteer Application Form.  Each volunteer needs to read the Upcounty Kids Volunteer Guidelines prior to completing the Volunteer Application.  We will also offer periodic training for volunteers.
